Marketing & Design
At Kansas Children’s Service League, I worked as the Marketing and Design Specialist, supporting the organization’s mission through creative strategy and thoughtful communication. My work helped strengthen brand consistency and expand audience engagement across channels.
Key Contributions:
- Website management — updated structure and content for clarity and accessibility with regular content additions
- Social media — created and scheduled mission-driven campaigns
- Digital advertising — ran Google Ads and targeted campaigns
- Graphic design — designed flyers, reports, and branded materials
- CAP Month toolkit — revamped statewide campaign resources for internal agency and partner use
- Photography & events — captured visuals and supported event execution with follow-up storytelling and PR
Through intentional content creation and campaign coordination, I helped elevate KCSL’s voice and reach across the state.
Content Examples
Developed the annual Head Start report by transforming program and financial data into a compelling visual narrative. Collaborated with multiple departments to gather information, refine key messages, and design an engaging report that highlighted program impact and outcomes.
Developed an educational resource on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) to support family education and program outreach. The piece translated research-based concepts into accessible, visually engaging content for parents, caregivers, and community partners.
To support KCSL’s mission and SEO goals, I researched parenting, childcare, and child development topics and created monthly blog content for families. These articles combined keyword research, educational storytelling, and audience-focused content strategy to connect parents with trusted resources and support services.

CAP Month Toolkit & Awareness Campaign
Kansas Children’s Service League, as the Kansas chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America, participates each year in the national Child Abuse Prevention Month campaign. For the 2024 effort, I refreshed and expanded the existing toolkit to better support partner organizations across the state. My contributions included:
- Redesigning the toolkit to align with the year’s theme and create a cohesive campaign
- Creating a new content calendar with prewritten social copy and custom graphics
- Adding additional materials and messaging guidance
- Supporting campaign rollout and partner communications
Through thoughtful design and content creation, I helped make it easier for organizations to participate and share a unified message of prevention across Kansas.
Event Photography
One of the joys of being a marketer and brand storyteller is capturing meaningful moments through photography. Visuals help bring a brand to life, and I love using my lens to reflect the energy, emotion, and intention behind each event.
